Background:
The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (POiD) is intending to conduct roster call to engage additional Handymen willing to serve on a short-term basis in future. The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe is located on an area of 11,500 m2. The Office area necessitates a regular cleaning services which include caring about the office garden, cutting trees, irrigation of area, garbage collecting.
NOTE: The selected candidates will be on a roster and might be contacted as per operational need.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the supervision of the National Building Maintenance Officer the short-term Handyman will support the staff of the Fund Administration Unit (FAU)/Materials Management Unit (MMU) in conducting their day-to-day activities. The work will include the following tasks:
Cleaning concrete drainage channels and walkways;
Providing assistance with cleaning outside the Office perimeter from snow and ice;
Providing assistance in loading and unloading of equipment and materials;
Sweeping the Office territory and removing leaves;
Cleaning leaves and debris from gutters and drains;
Caring for the Office garden: watering, season cutting, fertilizing;
Performing other duties as required.

Necessary Qualifications:
Completed secondary education;
Three years of working experience in gardening, irrigation and street cleaning;
Practical skills and experience of work as Carpenter, Plumber, Electrician (220V and low-current equipment);
Working experience with international organizations is preferable;
Good knowledge of Russian and Tajik languages. Knowledge of English would be an asset;
Good interpersonal and communication skills;
Excellent physical ability;
Good organizational abilities and high level of attention-to-detail;
Enthusiasm to develop skills and knowledge, adaptability to change and willingness to embrace new ideas and processes;
Ability to work under limited supervision and deliver quality work;
Positive and approachable manner and team player qualities;
Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities
Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity.
Remuneration Package:
Monthly remuneration, subject to social security deductions, is 444.08 EUR. Social benefits will include participation in the Cigna medical insurance scheme.

Please be aware that OSCE appointments are subject to medical clearance.
The mandatory retirement age at the OSCE is 65 years for contracted positions at the general service, professional and director level. The Organization shall apply an age limit of 62 years at the time of appointment as the incumbent selected is normally expected to carry out the contractual obligation of two years.
