Background:

This call for applications is open for young women who have completed the OSCE Local Dialogue Academy or OSCE Girls’ Talks

The OSCE Mission in Kosovo, Public Participation Section/Democratization Department, is recruiting one intern who is looking to gain experience and to support the implementation of upcoming activities of the Public Participation Section.

The incumbents will undertake an internship from 03 November, 2025 – 03 March, 2026.

Tasks and Responsibilities:

  • In its effort to strengthen alumnae ownership and ensure the sustainability of its initiatives, the Mission will engage a Local Dialogue Academy/Girls’ Talks alumna as an Intern to support the implementation of upcoming activities of the Public Participation Section.
  • The OSCE Mission in Kosovo is actively seeking to bring onboard a dedicated alumna to play a pivotal role in advancing three key initiatives. First, the Intern will contribute to MagDA – the Dialogue Academy Magazine, an alumnae-led publication that amplifies the voices of young women in the region. Through articles, interviews, and creative pieces, MagDA fosters dialogue on gender equality, peacebuilding, and civic participation, while providing alumnae with a platform to showcase their perspectives. In this capacity, the Intern will assist in curating content, coordinating with contributors, and supporting the editorial and outreach processes, ensuring that the magazine remains a vibrant tool for advocacy and empowerment.
  • Second, the Intern will support the Apprenticeship Programme, designed to provide alumnae and young women with hands-on opportunities to build professional skills, strengthen leadership capacities, and connect with relevant institutions. The Intern will assist with coordination, mentorship follow-up, and logistical support to guarantee that participants gain meaningful experience and practical knowledge that can be translated into long-term career growth and civic engagement.
  • Third, the Intern will contribute to the organization of the Civil Society Forum (CSO Forum), a platform for dialogue between civil society, institutions, and international actors. Here, the Intern will assist in mobilizing participants, coordinating sessions, and ensuring youth and women’s perspectives are prominently included in discussions. This involvement will enable her to foster stronger connections between alumnae, civil society organizations, and decision-makers, advancing inclusive participation in policy and social change processes.
  • This role requires strong organizational and communication skills, as well as a commitment to fostering dialogue, leadership, and gender equality. By engaging in these initiatives, the Intern will not only contribute significantly to the Mission’s work but will also develop her own professional capacities, making this opportunity both a platform for empowerment and a catalyst for lasting community impact.
