Background:

The OSCE Programme Office in Dushanbe (POiD) is intending to conduct roster call to engage Graphic Designers in forthcoming activities relating to media activities across the country. The incumbent Graphic Designer will be assigned to support the Media Unit in different local activities with national and international organizations/interested parties.

Objective of Assignment:

The OSCE POiD is seeking for a self-motivated and result-oriented professional for the position of Graphic Designer to join the Talent Roster. This call is aimed at building a pool of pre-vetted professionals who may be engaged for short-term and long-term assignments as opportunities arise.

Duration of Assignment:
One month.

Tasks and Responsibilities:
Under the overall supervision of the Media Officer, the successful candidate will be tasked with the following duties:

  1. Executing the creative concepting and design of assigned projects, such as publications, presentations, posters, banners, brochures, and other materials, print and electronic, with creativity and accepted modern style while adhering to the established quality and production guidelines;

  2. Designing visual presentations using PowerPoint, Prezi, or other tools;

  3. Turning data into compelling infographics;

  4. Conceptualizing and produce visual materials suitable for social media platforms (Facebook, Instagram);

  5. Adapting complex messages into accessible, visually engaging formats for a range of audiences, including youth, women, rural communities, and persons with disabilities;

  6. Staying up to date with multimedia trends, techniques, and technologies to continuously improve the quality and impact of OSCE's visual content;

  7. Adhering to organizational branding, accessibility, and communication guidelines.

Necessary Qualifications:

  • A university degree or equivalent qualification in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, Multimedia Design, or a related field;

  • Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in graphic design;

  • Proven ability to design across print, web, and presentation platforms;

  • Strong creative and conceptual thinking;

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop), MS Office, and other design tools;

  • Knowledge of amination;

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines;

  • Understanding of accessibility standards and inclusive design;

  • Excellent attention to details;

  • Good knowledge of English and Russian languages, knowledge of Tajik language would be an asset;

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills;

     

  • Demonstrated gender awareness and sensitivity, and an ability to integrate a gender perspective into tasks and activities;

  • Ability and willingness to work as a member of team, with people of different cultural, and religious backgrounds, different gender, and diverse political views, while maintaining impartiality and objectivity;

  • Computer literate with practical experience using Microsoft applications.

Remuneration Package:

Remuneration will be based on the selected consultant's/expert's qualifications, experience, the tasks and deliverables for this position and in accordance with the OSCE established rates.
